Air Florida April 26, 1981

Air Florida operated from 1971 to 1984. They never really did well after the Air Florida crash into the Potomac River in Washington, D.C.

This is a twenty page timetable introducing new service to London (Gatwick), Chicago (O'Hare), and Ireland (Shannon). Air Florida flew DC10's for long haul service. In Europe they flew to Amsterdam and Brussels plus the new London and Shannon service. They also flew to the Caribbean and Central America.

They served a number of cities in their home state of Florida and a few larger U.S. cities. Not sure if Toledo counted as a large city, but they did fly a Toledo-Tampa nonstop that continued on to Orlando and Miami.

Their route map also showed cities they flew charters to like Prestwick and Manchester in the U.K., Frankfurt Germany, and Zurich.

They also shows proposed cities of Boston, Santiago, Chile, and Dusseldorf, Germany.

During their year in service they flew DC10's, DC9's, 737's, 727's, 707's and Lockheed Electra's.
